St. Mary's High School
Anderson, Indiana
Class of 1957

TURN! TURN! TURN!
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late

Martha A. (Livingston) Leaf, 68, Anderson, died Sept. 18, 2007, at Community Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of Carl Sr. and Anna Eleanor (Higgins) Livingston. She was a longtime resident of Anderson and a graduate of Anderson High School.

She was a nurses assistant and day-care provider. She was selfless and the world is greatly diminished by her departure.

Survivors include her husband, Larry J. Leaf, whom she married June 29, 1963, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Anderson; two daughters, Patricia L. (husband, John S. Prince) Leaf-Prince of Muncie, and Amanda K. Leaf of Bloomington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Nancy Leaf of Avon.

She adored and was adored by eight-year-old grandson, Nathaniel Croft and no doubt would have equally cherished her grandbaby on the way. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Charmayne E. Thomas; and several nieces.

She was preceded in death by parents, Carl Sr. and Anna Eleanor (Higgins) Livingston. Martys only son, John, was tragically killed in 2001, an event from which her heart and soul never recovered. She was also preceded in death by sister, Eleanor Lee Nelson; brother, Carl Livingston Jr.; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frances A. and Frederick J. Leaf.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Edward Dhondt officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
